Jawa 42 launched: Jawa has slashed the price of the new Jawa 42 drastically, making it cheaper by ₹ 17,000. If you are considering an alternative to Royal Enfield, the Jawa 42 is a great option. Launched ahead of Independence Day, the updated model comes with several improvements, including a better engine, improved NVH levels and optimized weight distribution. Jawa 42 Features
The new Jawa 42 has a fully digital LCD display and comes fitted with 18-inch alloy wheels at the front and 17-inch alloy wheels at the rear. Spoke wheels are also available for those who prefer a classic touch. Apart from this, the bike is offered with both single and dual-channel ABS options, as well as disc brakes for better safety and performance.
Jawa 42 Engine
The new bike has a 250cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine that comes mated to a six-speed gearbox. This engine produces 27.32 PS of power and 26.84 Nm of torque. It also features a twin exhaust system that is optimally tuned to make driving easier, especially in second, third and fourth gears.
Jawa 42 Colour & Price
The updated Jawa 42 is now available in 14 different options, including six new colours for the 2024 edition: Vega White, Voyager Red, Asteroid Grey, Odyssey Black, Nebula Blue and Celestial Copper Matte. The ex-showroom price of the new Jawa 42 ranges from Rs 1.73 lakh to Rs 1.98 lakh.
Jawa 42 Gears
The new Jawa 42 features a 6-speed gearbox system with an assist-and-slipper clutch that reduces clutch effort by up to 50%, making gear shifting smoother and easier. The gearbox is designed with the first three gears for low-speed riding and fourth to sixth gears for powerful performance and highway use.
Jawa 42 Changes
The new Jawa 42 is powered by a 294.7cc liquid-cooled engine, now powered by the third-generation J-Panther motor. This updated engine enhances performance and power with improved thermal efficiency, better crankshaft coordination and reduced blow-by leading to lower NVH levels. Additionally, it features a new free-flow exhaust system for a more refined riding experience.
